New Baby Paige!!

Well, Aiden is no longer the baby in the family. We have a real baby. Paige was born on the 13th. She is healthy and seems very quiet and content by nature. Not like her cousin Aiden and sister Katrina (not to mention any names).
Ellie, Aiden and I drove up to see them in the afternoon.

2008 review!

I remember New Years eve last year (2007), sitting on my bed in Chicago 9 1/2 months pregnant thinking what a crazy/fun year we had ahead of us. Boy was I right!

The biggest highlights are:
-had my beautiful baby boy Aiden in January
-moved from Chicago to Austin in March
-new job in June (summer job directing teenagers in summer shows)
-got married in August to the most wonderful man I've ever known
-new job in September (worst job I've EVER had at TGI Fridays!)
-lost 30 lbs in September
-another new job in October (current job at Apex Resources which I love)
-started real estate school in November which I should finish sometime this Spring

Can't wait to see what 2009 will hold in store for us!! First and foremost we're expecting my brother's baby Paige to join us any day now. I can't even wait. I guess she's Beth's baby too :)

Aiden is sick right now and it SUCKS. He's got a cough and had a fever all day today. He's been sleeping really good this evening though, so hopefully he's on the mend.

Christmas

I submitted my head shot for a photo print job and on a whim decided to send them a picture of Aiden too (even though they weren't asking for children's submissions).

They liked both of us and we're going in on Jan.5th for some photo tests!! Pretty sweet.

If we get it, we'll be a young family unpacking the groceries in the kitchen. Should be fun.

Anyway, Christmas was lovely. We all got some really wonderful gifts that we certainly weren't expecting! Especially since we didn't have very much to give this year.





We spent Christmas Eve at my sister's house, playing games and hanging out.










Christmas morning was just us at home, opening gifts and making breakfast and then later in the afternoon we drove up to my brother's house where my sister-in-law (who is 9 1/2 months pregnant) prepared a FEAST. The kids ran around and we opened some more presents and stuffed ourselves.












Hopefully everyone else had a great Christmas and will have a smooth slide into the New Year (German saying)

Aiden is 11 mths old!!

I realize that 11 mths isn't technically a Birthday, BUT I was just thinking about how much fun I've had since my Little Man has come into my life and to share the joy, I thought I would post my favorite pictures (of Aiden obviously).

O Christmas Tree!

Happy Thanksgiving!!









Toby made us a feast. Aiden's stuffed face reflects how we felt too! Toby made a huge turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, asparagus, lumpy (yummy) mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and three different pies for dessert. All this for two adults and one baby!!


While the turkey was cooking we decided to put up our Christmas tree. We have some family coming into town this weekend, so we thought we'd make it a little festive for them!

Toby has had this tree for over 15 yrs. And it's still in great shape.

We strung up lights on the balcony too. So we can enjoy a brewski at night on the balcony :)
