O Christmas Tree!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Toby made us a feast. Aiden's stuffed face reflects how we felt too! Toby made a huge turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, asparagus, lumpy (yummy) mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and three different pies for dessert. All this for two adults and one baby!!

While the turkey was cooking we decided to put up our Christmas tree. We have some family coming into town this weekend, so we thought we'd make it a little festive for them!

Toby has had this tree for over 15 yrs. And it's still in great shape.

We strung up lights on the balcony too. So we can enjoy a brewski at night on the balcony :)

Here's the finished product with presents under the tree and everything.

And here's the baby in the tub after he's had all the cranberry sauce and sweet potatoes scrubbed out his nose and ears and hair and everywhere else!!

hangin' out with the family!

For Thanksgiving everyone already had plans, so we decided that we'd get together the weekend before.

My brother and Beth are expecting the newest addition to the family, Lilly, in January, so Ryan and Scott painted the baby-nursery. Meanwhile Ellie worked on a kitty mural for Katrina's room.

I took a nap and played with the kids :) And ate WAAAY too much food.

I heard on the news this morning that on average between Thanksgiving and New Years Americans consume an extra 600 calories A DAY.

But everything is good. Jobs are going good. Aiden is walking around with his walker like a crazy man and seems happy most of the time. We've got Toby's family coming in right after Thanksgiving. Most of my family is here in Austin (boy that is SOOO nice for holidays and such... and just in general too I guess!). My mother is coming in Dec. 21st for two weeks and I think I'm going to see my dad again in Alexandria, LA when he gets out of the hospital to help him find a place to live. We'll see.

So the holidays will be spent here at home. Next year I think we're planning to spend Christmas in New Mexico/Colorado with the other side of the family.

That kids diaper is a little full.... :)

baby face

Baby boy wears 12 month clothes now! He's got two teethers. Loves mac and cheese and eats crackers all on his own. He crawls after the cat... well, commando crawls. Loves his door-way jumper. Smiles with his eyes all the time.

Finally got a job!!

I got a job! Hooray. It seems like I have applied everywhere and been to a whole lot of interviews.

I was being very picky though. I only want to work part-time, from a certain time to a certain time. And most jobs just don't have that availability.

BUT, this job does :) And it's one exit up Hwy 1. That's about a six minute drive. It's an office assistant job for a company called Apex Resources. They basically manage 50 oil wells for investors, handling monthly checks, taxes, answering questions, etc.

I start on Monday. I'll be working 9am-2pm every day. So I get to keep my favorite time with French Fry in the morning and then I'll be home by 2:15pm and still have some time with both my boys before Toby goes to work.

This weekend is moving time for both Ellie and family, and Dad. Ellie and Ryan (and Korbin) are moving into their new house in Cedar Park. And Dad is moving to Ft. Poke, LA on Monday. Boo to all of that I say. They were all so nice and close.
